About Ben

I'm Ben. I've been a Washington fan since Super Bowl XXVI, which I watched on a CRT TV next to my dad, who was already all in. I've been unreasonably invested ever since.

These days I live in Charlottesville, Virginia. I tailgate UVA home games, get up to Northwest Stadium when I can, and watch the rest from my couch, a Buffalo Wild Wings, or wherever the group chat says.

The Burgundy Wire is my one-man project: every Commanders headline in one place, each one linking to the people who reported it, plus the posts I write myself about the team, the games and the people I watch them with. It isn't affiliated with the Washington Commanders or the NFL, and it has no ads.
